In general, a woman who is the head of her family, is at least 21 years old, and whose family income, land holding and household electricity use are within the scheme limits. Some families — such as those with an income-tax payer, a government employee or a car owner — are excluded. See the eligibility guide for the full conditions.
What is the income limit for the scheme?
The scheme is meant for families with an annual income below ₹2.5 lakh. Land and electricity limits also apply. Confirm the current limits on the official portal.
Can single women or transgender women apply?
Yes. A single woman with her own family card can apply as the head of the family, and transgender women with a ration card are eligible to apply.
Can two women in the same family get the payment?
No. Only one woman per family (ration) card can receive the payment.
